Internship: NIH Postbac IRTA

I graduated with a major in neuroscience at Johns Hopkins. For the past four years, I have had the privilege of researching human navigation and scene perception with Prof. Michael Bonner and Dr. Donald Li in the Department of Cognitive Science. Our work together has been presented at the Vision Sciences Society 2019 and 2020 conferences.

Thanks to Prof. Bonner and Dr. Li’s mentorship, I am now working at the National Institute of Mental Health as a Postbac IRTA (Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award) under Dr. Alex Martin and Dr. Andrew Persichetti in the Section on Cognitive Neuropsychology. Over the next two years, I will be conducting research in scene and abstract concept representation. My experiences from working in Dr. Bonner’s lab have proved invaluable in my new role at the NIH. I am truly grateful for the excellent mentorship I was able to receive during my time there.
