Current Position: Assistant Professor, Department of Computational Linguistics, University of Zürich
The training I received in the Cognitive Science program at JHU has given me an invaluable foundation for my development as a linguist and cognitive scientist. In particular, the program has trained me to think critically, creatively, and theoretically. A rigorous style of thinking is fostered through mathematical and computational approaches, a focus on original research, and an inquisitiveness that is pervasive throughout the department. The analysis and computational skills that I acquired at Hopkins have afforded me the ability to explore questions to my heart’s content. Beyond the training, the depth of intelligence and community in both the department and university make this program simply singular.
